The room

A charcoal grill with a bit of theatre

Kohinoor Grill & Thrill is an independent Turkish restaurant on Barking Road in Plaistow. The kitchen is an open ocakbaşı: doner turning on the spit, skewers of adana and shish going straight over the coals, plated up while you watch.

The dining room leans into it, with deep floral walls, green velvet seating and trailing greenery under warm bulbs, so a quick doner and a long shared feast both feel at home.

Do you take bookings for groups?
Yes. The sharing platters are built for a table, so groups are very welcome. Call 020 3876 2745 to reserve, especially at the weekend.
What are your opening hours?
Open every day from 12:00. We close at 23:00 Sunday to Thursday, and at midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Can I get takeaway or delivery?
Yes, everything on the menu is available to sit in or take away, and we deliver locally through the usual apps. Call us to order a collection.
